Asbestos Consultancy
We offer a fully individual consultancy service – this certainly is not an “off the shelf package”. We work collaboratively with our clients to ensure a bespoke service is provided at all times.

You may find yourself in a situation where things have not gone to plan and need advice and support in how to deal with that. Unfortunately asbestos exposure incidents can happen and we can support you through those with independent advice.

We can develop policies and procedures to fit your business needs whilst maintaining regulatory requirements.
Auditing
Gap analysis and independent audits of management systems or audits of work on site.
We will work with you to improve your work systems to achieve continual improvement for your business.
We have many years of experience auditing management systems to ISO standard and can also help you prepare for your external ISO audits.
Asbestos Awareness
We offer Asbestos Awareness training that is tailored to your business or industry needs.
Group sizes are kept small to ensure there are lots of opportunities for interaction between participants and the trainer.
There are significant benefits to having face to face training for this type of subject, including having those burning questions answered on the spot by a subject matter expert.
Asbestos Management Plans
Asbestos Management Plans are required for workplaces where there is a likelihood of asbestos exposure to workers.

If your workplace contains asbestos materials we can assist you in developing a management plan to keep your workers safe.

AMPs are also required if you are a residential landlord. As a landlord you become a PCBU (Person Conducting a Business or Undertaking) for that rental property. You therefore have the responsibility to identify and manage asbestos as a commercial building owner would if there is a risk of exposure to friable asbestos when undertaking repairs to the proprty.

We can help develop Health & Safety Plans; Site Specific Safety Plans and Risk Assessments.
We have a network of affiliates who can also assist you if your business needs are outside of our expertise.
ABOUT US
Kate has over 17 years experience working in the asbestos industry in both the UK and New Zealand.
Kate is experienced in analytical asbestos work both in the laboratory identifying samples, and out in the field conducting air monitoring and four stage clearances. Kate is also a very experienced surveyor having surveyed everything from residential premises to power stations and everything in between.
Kate holds the following asbestos qualifications: P401 (BOHS- Bulk analysis); P402 (BOHS – Asbestos surveying); P405 (BOHS – Managing Asbestos); S301 (BOHS – Asbestos & other fibres) and the BOHS Certificate of Competence in Asbestos. Kate also holds a NEBOSH International General Certificate in Health and Safety.
Kate has worked in many different aspects of asbestos management including:

• Asbestos management for large construction projects
Kate was also a member of the joint working group between MBIE and Worksafe New Zealand that developed the HSW (Asbestos) Regulations 2016 and associated Code of Practice – The Management and Removal of Asbestos.
